Hello once again. I don’t like to regularly toot my own horn, but I am a bit of an expert when it comes to running a relaxing and perfect bath, even though I say so myself. Over the years, I’ve explained my techniques to many friends, and they themselves have gone on to tell others too.
God knows how many people know about my bathing rituals by now. Well, a lot more people are about to find out now as I’ve decided to dedicate a whole post to it. I’ll be taking you through my entire process from start to finish.
To begin with, we need to talk about temperature. Everyone is different, and obviously this might mean that different people like different temperatures when running their baths. Personally I like mine to be fairly hot. Instant of wasting time trying to find that perfect temperature by running hot and cold water simultaneously, what I do is I fill up about 1/5 of the bath with cold water, and then 3/5 hot water. I leave 1/5 of the tub not filled with water, as I like my baths to be fairly deep.
Once I’ve finished running the cold water and I’m moving onto the hot, that’s when I begin to add my special solutions that make the bath aromatic, relaxing, and bubbly.
Firstly I use a special bubble bath from Radox, and also add a dash of tea tree oil. This is fairly easy to come by and will really make the bath much more relaxing. Finally I will also add in a couple drops of peppermint extract in oil form. This will once again make the bath and entire room smell amazing. As it combines with the heat in the water, the steam that the bath gives off will fill your lungs and make you feel completely relaxed. Its definitely a must.
After you’ve done this, it’s also a great idea to light a few candles around the room to really set the mood. My personal favourite is yankee candles. So there you have it, that is my brief but complete guide to running the ultimate bath.
